The school will do its best to:
- Provide an environment which has been risk assessed in response to the COVID-19 infection and has been agreed by Local Authority Health and safety team;
- Adhere to guidance set out by the government as best we can (Guidance for full opening of schools updated 28th August);
- Provide a curriculum that meets the needs of your child’s well-being, mental health and academic needs;
- Contact families if your child displays symptoms of COVID-19;
- Inform families if anyone in their child’s bubble tests positive for COVID-19 and follow advice from the local Health Protection Team.
- Continue our clear and consistent approach to behaviour in line with our amended behaviour policy;
- Communicate between home and school through text, email and the school website.
Parent:
- To help my child at school, I know and understand that:
- If my child, or anyone in my household, shows symptoms of COVID-19, I will not send them to school. I will follow government guidelines on isolating. I will keep the school informed.
- My child must wear a face mask inside the school building (11 years old and above only);
- I must provide my child with hand sanitiser;
- My child will wash his/her hands before coming to school and when they arrive home;
- On my commute, and when dropping my child off and picking them up, I will adhere to social distancing rules.
- When dropping off and picking up, I will strictly stick to the school timings for my child and will not linger around the building;
- My child will have their own, clean, water bottle in school.
- My child must not bring any items from home into school with them (apart from a school bag, packed lunch and water bottle);
- My child must have their full name on any belongings;
- My child will have their temperature taken if they feel unwell;
- I will need to remind my child about staying within their classroom bubble;
- My child will need to use good respiratory and hand hygiene and I will discuss this with my child and will remind him/her about this, if asked to do so by the school;
- I will not be allowed into the school without a pre- arranged appointment;
- I need to support all staff in their efforts to create an ‘as safe as possible’ environment – if my child’s behaviour is deemed a potential medical risk, I will work with the school to educate my child to help alleviate the risk;
- Read all messages that are sent by the school;
