Behaviour Policy

 1. Policy Statement

Croydon Arabic School is committed to creating a safe, calm and respectful learning environment in which all pupils are able to learn, grow and succeed.

Positive behaviour is promoted through clear expectations, consistent routines and a graduated system of rewards and sanctions.

This policy applies to all pupils, staff, volunteers and visitors.

 2. Aims of the Policy

This policy aims to:

  •  Promote positive behaviour and self-discipline
  •  Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils
  •  Encourage respect, responsibility and cooperation
  •  Provide clear guidance on managing behaviour fairly and consistently

 3. Behaviour Expectations

Pupils are expected to:

  •  Treat staff and peers with respect
  •  Follow classroom and school rules
  •  Care for school property
  •  Attend regularly and arrive on time
  •  Follow instructions promptly

 4. Promoting Positive Behaviour

The school encourages good behaviour through:

  •  Verbal praise and recognition
  •  Certificates and reward systems
  •  Positive reinforcement strategies
  •  Parental communication

 5. Unacceptable Behaviour

Unacceptable behaviour includes but is not limited to:

  •  Disruption of lessons
  •  Disrespectful language or actions
  •  Bullying or harassment
  •  Damage to property
  •  Failure to follow instructions

 6. Sanctions and Consequences

The school applies a graduated response:

1. Verbal reminder

2. Warning

3. Loss of privileges

4. Removal from activity

5. Referral to school management

6. Parental contact

7. Temporary suspension

8. Permanent exclusion in severe cases

 7. Serious Incidents

Serious incidents will be recorded and investigated.

Safeguarding procedures will be followed where required.

 8. Pupils with Additional Needs

Reasonable adjustments will be made for pupils with SEN or additional needs.

 9. Monitoring and Review

Behaviour records are monitored regularly.

This policy is reviewed annually.
