القراءة… مفتاح التعلّم والنجاح
تؤمن مدرسة كرويدن العربية بأن القراءة هي الأساس الذي تُبنى عليه مهارات اللغة العربية. فمن خلال القراءة يكتسب الطالب مفردات جديدة، ويطوّر قدرته على الفهم والتعبير، ويصبح أكثر ثقة في القراءة والكتابة والتحدث باللغة العربية.
ولهذا أنشأت المدرسة مكتبتها لتكون مصدراً للإلهام والمعرفة، وتشجع الطلاب على جعل القراءة عادة ممتعة تستمر معهم مدى الحياة.
تضم المكتبة مجموعة متنوعة من القصص والكتب التعليمية والثقافية المناسبة لمختلف الأعمار والمستويات، بما يدعم سلسلة لنتعلّم العربية، ويساعد الطلاب على تنمية مهاراتهم اللغوية والاستعداد للمراحل الدراسية المتقدمة، بما في ذلك Pearson Edexcel GCSE Arabic (9–1).
أهداف المكتبة
- تشجيع الطلاب على حب القراءة باللغة العربية.
- تنمية مهارات القراءة والفهم والاستيعاب.
- إثراء الحصيلة اللغوية بالمفردات والتراكيب الجديدة.
- دعم المنهج الدراسي من خلال القراءة الحرة.
- تنمية التفكير والإبداع والخيال.
- غرس المسؤولية والمحافظة على الكتب والممتلكات العامة.
سياسة إعارة الكتب
ترحب مكتبة مدرسة كرويدن العربية بجميع الطلاب المؤهلين للاستفادة من خدمة الإعارة وفق الضوابط التالية:
المستفيدون
طلاب المستويات العليا وفق ما تحدده إدارة المدرسة.
عدد الكتب
يجوز استعارة كتاب واحد في كل مرة.
مدة الإعارة
أسبوع دراسي واحد.
يمكن تجديد الإعارة إذا لم يكن الكتاب مطلوباً من طالب آخر.
مسؤولية الطالب
الطالب مسؤول عن المحافظة على الكتاب طوال مدة الإعارة، ويجب إعادته بالحالة نفسها التي استلمه بها.
يرجى إبلاغ أمين المكتبة فوراً إذا كان الكتاب يحتوي على أي تلف قبل استعارته.
يجب عدم:
- الكتابة داخل الكتب.
- ثني الصفحات.
- تمزيق أو إتلاف أي جزء من الكتاب.
- تعريض الكتب للماء أو أي ضرر.
التأخر في إعادة الكتب
نحرص على إتاحة الكتب لجميع الطلاب، لذلك يُرجى الالتزام بموعد الإعادة.
قد يؤدي التأخر المتكرر إلى تعليق حق الطالب في الاستعارة مؤقتاً.
فقدان أو تلف الكتب
في حال فقدان الكتاب أو تعرضه لتلف يمنع الاستفادة منه، تفرض المدرسة رسماً مقداره £10 لتغطية تكلفة الاستبدال.
أما التأخر في إعادة الكتب، فتطبق غرامة قدرها £3 عن كل أسبوع تأخير خلال الأسابيع الدراسية.
يتحمل ولي الأمر مسؤولية أي رسوم تترتب على الكتب المستعارة من قبل الطلاب الذين تقل أعمارهم عن 18 عاماً.

Reading… The Key to Learning and Success
At Croydon Arabic School, we believe that reading is the foundation of successful language learning. Through reading, children expand their vocabulary, strengthen their comprehension, improve their communication skills, and gain the confidence to read, write, and speak Arabic fluently.
Our school library has been established to inspire a love of reading and encourage students to make books a lifelong companion.
The library offers a wide selection of Arabic storybooks, educational resources, and cultural books suitable for different ages and learning levels. These resources complement our Let’s Learn Arabic Series and support students as they progress through the curriculum, including preparation for Pearson Edexcel GCSE Arabic (9–1).
Our Library Aims
- Encourage a lifelong love of reading in Arabic.
- Develop reading fluency and comprehension.
- Enrich students’ Arabic vocabulary and language skills.
- Support classroom learning through independent reading.
- Inspire creativity, imagination, and critical thinking.
- Promote responsibility and respect for books and shared resources.
Library Borrowing Policy
The Croydon Arabic School Library welcomes eligible students to borrow books in accordance with the following guidelines.
Who Can Borrow?
Students in the upper levels, as determined by the school.
Borrowing Limit
Students may borrow one book at a time.
Loan Period
Books may be borrowed for one school week.
Loans may be renewed if the book has not been requested by another student.
Student Responsibilities
Students are responsible for looking after any books they borrow and must return them in the same condition in which they were issued.
Please inform the librarian immediately if a book is found to be damaged before it is borrowed.
Students should not:
- Write or draw in library books.
- Fold or damage pages.
- Tear or remove any part of a book.
- Expose books to water or any other damage.
Late Returns
To ensure that all students have the opportunity to enjoy our library collection, books should be returned by the agreed due date.
Repeated late returns may result in the temporary suspension of borrowing privileges.
Lost or Damaged Books
If a borrowed book is lost or damaged beyond reasonable use, a £10 replacement charge will apply.
A £3 late fee will be charged for each additional school week that a book is overdue.
Parents or guardians are responsible for any charges incurred by students under the age of 18.
Make Reading a Habit
Every book a child reads is another step towards confidence, knowledge, and success.
We encourage all our students to visit the school library regularly, discover new stories, and develop a lifelong love of reading through the Arabic language.
